Don Bushey is a Behr volunteer superstar who was awarded the Masco Cares Volunteer Award for his support of STAT Ligonier Therapeutic Center, a nonprofit offering equine-assisted programs that serve youth with physical, mental, and/or behavioral disabilities, and veterans and first responders suffering from PTSD.
Two nights a week, Don acts as a "ranch hand" by managing the horses during therapy sessions, using skills he learned growing up around horses in Texas. On weekends and early mornings, he regularly feeds the horses and does chores around the farm.
When asked what motivates him to serve, Don shared, "I love being around horses and find it therapeutic and so different from what I do everyday. On top of that, i get joy out of helping kids succeed at things."

Behr’s partnership with Fresh Artists goes back almost 10 years. Fresh Artists delivers art supplies and innovative art programs to severely underfunded, low-income public schools in all 50 states, supporting underserved children, 88% of whom are children of color.
Behr donates obsolete paint chips, otherwise destined for a landfill, which are then transformed into brilliant artwork through Fresh Artists’ innovative “Chip Art” self-portrait art program, impacting more than 300,000 students to date. Through their Young Philanthropists Program, children are invited to donate their artwork to “go to work” to help other children.
Behr’s grants support the delivery of this ground-breaking art educational tool currently offered in both virtual and in-school teaching environments. Adam Aquino, Behr’s plant manager in Allentown, PA, is a long-term volunteer and member of their board of trustees.
