Honoring our Nation’s Heroes

Masco has a rich history of assisting veterans. In fact, The Masco Foundation was originally set up in 1952 to assist veterans returning from WWII and the Korean conflict. For many years, we have partnered proudly with Piquette Square for Veterans, a 150-unit complex in Detroit that offers permanent housing to veterans. Most recently, Masco, its Foundation and its business units across the United States, partnered----through a combination of product donations and cash grants----to award more than $ 1 million of support through our “America’s Heroes: A Million Thanks” military/veterans’ initiative. Grants ranged from support for shipping personal supplies overseas, to supporting canine soldiers and constructing and renovating homes for wounded veterans.

Today, we are focused on supporting the pathway to jobs for veterans. We have increased funding and partnered with colleges and universities, vocational and skill development centers, and other organizations focused on preparing veterans for jobs. These national partnerships will help to better transition our talented troops from soldier to citizen by making meaningful, satisfying employment experiences more readily available.
