We are hiring a Warehouse Supervisor to join our Finished Goods Shipping team!

IN A NUTSHELL

Are you a proven leader who knows how to effectively store and ship high-volume product?  Our newest Warehouse Supervisor position is responsible for managing the daily operations of inventory and material flow of finished goods product including covers, steps, and any other non-spa inventory to support the overall needs of the shipping department.  In this position, you will report to the Shipping Manager and will supervise a team of Shipping Distribution Handlers as well as coordinate with all shipping team personnel to ensure the optimum flow of material to support product shipments.

IS THIS YOU?

  • Can you establish sustainable processesYour primary focus will be to develop and maintain efficient warehousing and inventory processes and procedures that result in optimized inventory levels and material flow to support on-time product shipment goals.
  • Can you apply Lean principles?   You will oversee the handling and storage of inventory with the intent to reduce cost, minimize waste, and optimize space.  You’ll utilize effective first in, first out (FIFO) programs to ensure proper inventory rotation on a regular basis.
  • Do you look for ways to automate?  We are looking for a candidate who can apply strong inventory management controls to capture all material movements within our ERP system, Navision.  You’ll utilize modern warehouse systems and tools, such as barcodes and scanners to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Do you strive for accuracy?  An important part of this position is to manage cycle counting programs and physical inventory procedures to enhance the level of accurate inventory reporting.  Separately, you’ll also plan for staffing and capacity requirements to meet product shipment forecasts.
  • Can you motivate and lead others? As a supervisor, you will be responsible for the development and training of staff to maintain a cohesive team environment, including cross-training to ensure department coverage.  Other supervisory duties include approving timecards, conducting annual performance reviews, and taking disciplinary action if necessary. 
  • Is safety your top priority?  As a team leader, you will set the example by promoting best practices and ensuring all work is performed in a safe manner and free of hazards.  You’ll be responsible for carrying out all warehouse safety programs to provide a safe and clean work environment.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Inventory Management preferred.
  • Three to five (3 – 5) years of experience in a high-volume parts warehouse facility, including use of modern warehouse systems and tools. 
  • At least two (2) years of demonstrated success in team leadership, managing for results, effective performance management and coaching/mentoring is required.
  • Strong computer proficiency in ERP systems (preferably Navision) as well as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean techniques such as, Kaizen events, Six Sigma, and various process improvement tools and methodologies are preferred.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization as well as strong ability to work in a team environment, are required to be successful in this position.
