The Milgard Fiberglass Pultrusion Plant is seeking a talented Tooling Technician on their Swing Shift. As a Tooling Technician, you will provide support for the needs of the production, quality, maintenance and tooling departments at the Plant. This position will provide you with the opportunity to interface with all levels of the plant, will require you to be hands on, involved in various activities and allows you to utilize strong decision-making abilities.

During the busy season, flexibility in hours and overtime (including some weekend work) availability will be necessary to support the needs of the Pultrusion Plant's operations.

Some key duties and responsibilities of a Tooling Technician will be:

  • Troubleshoot tooling issues while working with production and maintenance departments.
  • Ability to manage small to medium tooling projects.
  • Apply attention to detail abilities through the process of cleaning and retooling various tooling equipment.
  • Conduct maintenance projects for the Tooling Shop equipment and department.
  • Knowledge of requirements for inspecting tools (dies and calibrators), setting up equipment, and inspecting machine tooling.
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.

Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Tool and die equipment experience and training is preferred. Welding experience and experience with ISO-related quality control systems is a plus.
