We are hiring a Test Engineer to join our Engineering team!

IN A NUTSHELL

Are you mechanically inclined and enjoy testing new parts and systems? In this role, you’ll apply your experience and knowledge to the testing of electromechanical products and systems through researching, planning, designing, and developing test protocols to ensure that our spas and fitness systems meet our high-quality standards.  You’ll get to work hands-on with world class product lines such as Hot Spring® Spas, Caldera® Spas, Freeflow Spas®, Fantasy Spas®, and Endless Pools®.  As the Test Engineer, you will report to the Sr. Manager of the Technical Lab and work alongside our team of Technicians as well with other Engineers in the department.

IS THIS YOU?

  • Are you quality focused?  You will develop test protocols for products or systems that incorporates fundamental concepts of mechanical, thermal, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and/or heat transfer sciences while managing various complexities and priorities.
  • Can you optimize resources?   You will work with the Test Lab Supervisor on how to efficiently utilize Lab Technician resources to execute test protocols and procedures for Alpha testing and general testing of components and systems.
  • Are you analytical?  You will evaluate field and warranty data to understand failure modes and trends, working closely with internal and external Engineering groups to perform root cause analysis of component and system failures.
  • Do you have strong project management skills?  We are looking for someone who can work independently while contributing to a team environment, successfully manage multiple Test Engineering projects concurrently, and demonstrate strong follow-through.  Part of your responsibilities will include overseeing both in-house and outside resources as they pertain to assigned projects.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Two years’ experience in a Test Engineering capacity with exposure to accelerated life testing (ALT,) highly accelerated life testing (HALT,) and/or highly accelerated stress screening (HASS) testing.  The equivalent combination of education and/or related experience may be considered.  
  • Working knowledge of electrical theory, advanced algebra, and statistical theories.
  • High proficiency level in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with test software such as LabVIEW is a plus.
  • Experience with regulatory/compliance a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization and strong ability to work in a team environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% of the time to our Tijuana, MX plant.
