Position Overview
Located in Livonia, Michigan at the Masco corporate office. We are looking an enthusiastic individual who can listen to customers’ benefit issues and then offer a solution to each problem. The successful candidate for this role will have a strong command of the company’s core values, including focusing on the customer, and will be well-trained in benefit knowledge that can be critical for offering quick and accurate assistance to customers.


This position is temporary and primarily focused on benefits; however, it offers exposure to many different functions of Human Resources.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responds to employee questions received through inbound calls or emails
  • Uses job aids, policy manuals, knowledgebase and other reference materials to assist in answering employee’s/manager’s inquiries
  • Document incoming calls using a case management tool to resolve issues within identified service level agreements.
  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors
  • The ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; be able to multitask effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
  • Inquires may be initiated via phone, email, chat and/or fax
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Knowledge and understanding of HR and Benefits
  • Minimum one-year experience in operational/transactional environment to work as a team member including the ability to be flexible with changing priorities based on the business need
  • Ability to consistently deliver high quality customer service in a professional manner
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail and accuracy
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Working knowledge of Workday and Kronos is desirable
  • Prior experience of benefit Open Enrollment is desirable
  • High School Diploma required, some college courses encouraged
  • Ability to work the following schedule (11:30 AM to 8:00 PM EST) Monday through Friday. However, flexibility in your schedule will be appreciated.
