Job Description

The EDI and Integration Lead is accountable for delivering solutions, driving the technical architecture, and maintaining the platforms used in our Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) environment. This role collaborates with the Technical Services Manager, Business Solutions, and Infrastructure leadership to produce value driven solutions in support of our overall company objectives and roadmap.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with Business Solutions functional teams and the Project Management Office to plan application development resource needs supporting the overall IS portfolio, enhancements, and incident management
  • Provide input necessary to build IS functional roadmaps and the overall IS architecture plan
  • Ensure all EDI and integration platforms have appropriate technical support coverage, including for non-US business hours, and inform external partner strategies as needed
  • Document application development coding standards, documentation standards, and unit test standards that will be adhered to for all EDI and integration initiatives and solution support
  • Review technical solution proposals where EDI and integration are necessary or could be used to ensure best practices for solution architecture are utilized
  • Manage quality assurance process for EAI, report periodically on quality performance, and remediate issues with quality
  • Manage delivery of application development EAI platforms
  • Partner with the Digital delivery organization on design and implementation of integrations between web platforms and other enterprise applications
  • Coach and mentor other technical team members
  • For 3rd party development partners, set direction and priority, manage relationships with technical leadership, and address delivery issues
  • Work together with the PMO, Business Solutions, and the vendor management team to define and measure the appropriate technical KPIs
  • Oversee unit, integration, user acceptance, regression and performance testing to ensure technical aspects of testing are properly accounted for
  • Develop test plans associated with technical changes in the environment
  • Prepare communications and provide updates to various levels of management throughout the organization – i.e. reports, oral presentations, etc.
  • Facilitate cross-functional conversations with supporting teams such as infrastructure, BASIS, security, etc. as necessary to execute solution delivery
  • Evaluate technology capabilities/benefits and make solution proposals addressing integration requirements
  • Provide hands on development and configuration support for as necessary

Education and Experience/Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and seven or more years of working directly with development and management of enterprise level integration platforms; or equivalent combination of education of experience. Experience with on premise and SaaS EAI products. Experience playing a leadership role for the EAI space on a project where the EAI platform has changed or a major component of the application landscape (i.e ERP system) has changed. Experience managing other resources through the solution delivery process. Must be able to work both as a member of a team and individually on assigned projects. Candidate must be committed to keeping up with technology changes through both formal and informal channels.
