We are looking for a dynamic individual responsible for driving organizational and talent strategies that build leadership and organizational capabilities enabling achievement of our Masco Canada strategy. In collaboration with our HR team and business leaders, this person will design and implement core processes to drive long-term performance, including talent planning, performance development, succession planning, employee engagement, leadership development & learning.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in Human Resources focusing on talent &/or organizational development
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, organizational development or related field
  • Hands-on development, implementation and administration experience in multiple talent areas such as Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Employee Development, Succession Planning, Career Development, Employee Engagement, Learning & Development
  • Demonstrated experience of exhibiting strong problem solving and critical thinking skills while also possessing a customer-service orientation
  • Demonstrates strong project management and organizational/planning skills, including prioritizing and effective time management skills
  • Able to be flexible, adaptable and resourcefully navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess the ability to effectively and professionally communicate and interact with employees at all levels of the organization including strong facilitation skills
  • Strong business acumen with ability to recommend solutions to support achievement of organizational goals
  • Experience using a research oriented approach to collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data with demonstrated ability to identify and present data-driven insights and trends
  • Self-starter with ability to deliver results with minimal supervision in a dynamic and often ambiguous environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills with experience working with HR enabling technology (such as HRIS, LMS, talent management technology
  • Ability to travel to Mississauga office, Masco Head Office and sister BU’s in the US as required

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage the implementation, improvement, and measurement of core Talent programs such as performance, development, career, talent acquisition and diversity & inclusion
  • Design and launch initiatives focused on creating a culture of inclusion that drives our acquisition and retention strategies
  • Design, develop, implement, and improve programs, process, systems, tools, and resources to support growth and development of employees and progression of high potentials and identified successors
  • Support talent assessment process to define critical gaps and develop integrated talent strategies to address, including working with HR team and business leaders on internal development opportunities
  • In partnership with HR team and business leaders drive successful talent review processes and ensure that robust succession plans are in place
  • Monitor the development of talent by working with business leaders to ensure that development plans are in place and progressing
  • Maintain strong relations with the business leaders to strengthen capabilities and ensure that talent management processes and practices are in alignment with the organization
  • Manage the talent acquisition strategy & recruitment process including some recruiter responsibilities
  • Assist with identified measurements of talent practices including analyzing data.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive onboarding program for new hires to ensure a great employee experience that yields high levels of new hire engagement
  • Establish & maintain key human resources KPIs to measure effectiveness of HR services and provided timely reporting
  • Design, develop and implement professional and leadership development programs (including 3rd party) based on the organization’s needs to enable our strategic priorities
  • Develop learning path infrastructure for professionals and leaders throughout the organization
  • Implement annual employee engagement surveys including execution, communication or results and action planning
  • Partner with leadership and HR team to make recommendations and propose solutions to ensure high-impact employee engagement programs and activities based on data from surveys, focus groups, interviews etc.
  • Monitor external trends on talent and develop leading edge capabilities to acquire, develop, engage and retain top talent
  • Partner across functions, Masco Canada HR team and Masco Talent & other BU HR teams to ensure work is integrated.
