Delta Faucet Company has an excellent opportunity for you to join our Indianapolis corporate Supply Chain team. The Buyer/Planner Intern role gives you the opportunity to learn what it would be like in a full time Buyer/Planner at DFC.


As a Buyer/Planner Intern within Delta Faucet Company, you will work to ensure the effective supply of material to meet customer requirements. You will have 3 key responsibilities in your role:

Direct Material Purchase Order Management:

  • Review, approve, and release purchase orders.
  • Work with suppliers and Plant Production Planners on POEDC messages (expedite, de-expedite, cancel PO).
  • Update delivery dates on purchase orders within SAP to ensure accurate signals.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Sourcing, Logistics and Plant Receiving teams to resolve invoicing issues.

Data Management:

  • Assist Buyer/Planners in management of inventory agreements.
  • Provide data maintenance support to ensure accurate ERP data.
  • Review Engineering Notices (EN’s) working with cross functional teams as necessary.

Project Activities:

  • Participate in various cross functional projects as necessary.
  • Assist Buyer/Planners on certain tasks associated with insourcing, outsourcing, or resourcing projects.

Education & Experience:

As an interested individual, you should:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year university - preferably with a Supply Chain related discipline.
  • Have good system skills including MSOffice including some advanced experience with MSExcel.
  • Can work cross functionality in a team setting.

This internship starts in May 2020, 40 hours a week during the summer time frame and continues into the Fall semester working 15-20 hours a week.
