POSITION SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Manager provides support to drive business process optimization and quality-centric projects in line with the business strategy and provide hands-on leadership to the Continuous Improvement initiatives or projects covering process management and service quality.


PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inventory & Replenishment

  • Monitor and maintain the data integrity in the company’s inventory system to ensure accuracy of value and quantity data.
  • Develop, and enforce inventory performance standards, policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships external to inventory management to achieve goals and improvement opportunities
  • Prioritize inventory workload and direct inventory control functions towards emerging supply chain issues
  • Drive sales and profits through innovative replenishment approaches, industry knowledge, and technical expertise to ensure store level in-stocks and inventories are in line with the Company’s objectives
  • Able to travel up to 20%+
  • Performs other related duties as needed and assigned

Logistics and Customs

  • Manage the routing of all Company freight (small packages, LTL, Truckload, Air and Ocean) both inbound and outbound, domestic and international
  • Manage all corporate logistics activities including freight cost savings projects, budget planning for annual freight expense
  • Establish and ensure compliance with all US customs policies and regulations
  • Develop collaborative relationships with Customers, Suppliers, Sales Teams, Domestic Manufacturing and Asia Operations, in an effort to improve service levels while optimizing costs
  • Manage and maintain CTPAT validation requirements and DOT requirements
  • Interface with manufacturing, shipping, network providers, customer care and sales rep’s
  • Control expenditures while maximizing available resources

Continuous Improvement (General)

  • Manages Supply Chain Performance Improvement engagements, which involve looking at a company’s internal Supply Chain processes and advising on solutions around creating efficient process or improving existing processes
  • Takes the lead in identifying concerns and proposing the most appropriate approach for the analysis
  • Manages the collation of data that provides information, insight and understanding of the root causes that contribute to the improvement of our KPIs
  • Provides analysis, develops standard reports & special applications that assist users with strategic decisions, cost controls, management reviews & analysis
  • Facilitates regular process performance reviews with functional teams and leadership

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or related field; and minimum of 5 years’ related work experience
  • Experience in a multi-facility manufacturing environment
  • An operational and financial understanding of the fundamentals in supply chain logistics, customs, forecasting, inventory management and etc.
  • Committed in developing and coaching employees
  • Ability to think analytically, creatively, and independently with excellent problem solving skills
  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships, while working collaboratively with cross-functional business teams
  • Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and continuous improvement; track record leading and implementing sustainable process improvements, seeking out and implementing internal or external best practices

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with the plumbing industry and products
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • MBA/Master’s degree in Supply Chain
