Job Description

This position manages various tasks and projects to achieve specified supply chain cost and delivery goals. It also represents and executes Supply Chain responsibilities within cross functional New Product Development (NPD) teams responsible for development through launch of new product initiatives including product/quality improvements and cost reductions.


PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages approved supply chain business cases leading cross functional teams
  • Manages safety stock policies
  • Manages various data maintenance tasks (Master Planning Family, safety stocks, etc.)
  • Manages forecast load process from Demand Planning and relevant interfaces
  • Manages short order process (data errors) and resolves/escalates accordingly with various functions (engineering, planning, etc.)
  • Identify unfavorable trends in customer and internal inventory levels, customer service statistics and initiate actions to resolve root cause issues
  • Maintain, analyze and monitor key customers demand and communicate needs through the supply chain internal and external to ensure consistent and timely delivery of product
  • Interfaces between buyers and materials departments as needed to expedite component shortages
  • Acts as key contact for plant personnel as shipping problems or questions occur
  • Manages special supply planning projects (NPD) as needed
  • Reports out on project management activities and status
  • Provides backup to other members of the department as necessary
  • Provides ad hoc data analysis as necessary
  • Achieve shared NPD team goals – launch date, start-up stock levels, delivery performance, while looking to reduce lead times
  • Attain delivery goals– 95%+ on-time delivery for finished goods

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Supply Chain, business or related field or
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within supply chain or operations experience
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to develop and update large Microsoft Excel documents, apply statistical formulas and pivot tables
  • Experience in managing many parts amongst multiple projects and related tasks while successfully achieving deadlines
  • Ability to quickly learn and work within a variety of computer systems
  • Strong attention to detail, deadlines and holding self and others accountable
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work in teams with members from various disciplines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • APICS certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Access
