Position Summary: Daily management of Builder Administration Department & personnel.  Monthly reporting of builder profitability including Builder Charter Initiative and Rebate Accrual.  Administrative and analytical support to the National Sales Manager, Builder Channel, Regional Builder Sales Manager-East, Regional Builder Sales Manager-Central and Regional Builder Sales Manager – West.

Manage and Lead Builder Administration Department & Personnel:

  • Actively manage the Builder Administrative team that supports the Builder Channel
  • Drive and implement effective processes to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency
  • Participate in Quarterly Sales Meetings, Sales Rep Training, Quotation Meetings and Builder Strategy Meetings
  • Manage day to day builder issues and contract “out of compliance” issues such as back orders, late shipments, product discontinuation, and non-responsive builders/reps/distributors
  • Manage the Builder TBD process to insure seamless impact to the Builder community

Contract Management:

  • Manage and Measure Contract Profitability (distributor growth, contract evaluation, quote measurement/adjustment, revenue maximization)
  • Create / enforce policy, maintain guidelines and documentation, process ownership
  • Deal scoring, review, approval, measurement, adjustments, renewals
  • Expanded Contract Management – forecasting validation, distributor requirement/participation, rep responsibilities and follow up for National Accounts
  • Incentive Management – rebate and other incentive approval and monitoring, process improvement

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Reporting and Measurement of Quotes, Contract and the Builder Business
  • Quote analysis, validation, reporting, win/loss analysis, identify continues improvements and opportunities, etc.
  • Rebate accrual and accuracy

Qualifications:

  • Education Required: High School/GED or Some College Classes or College Degree (what type of degree): Bachelor’s Degree or 3 -5 years’ work-related experience, not required but a plus.
  • Excellent Communication, Grammar and Interpersonal Skills – including phone, written and email. Ability to effectively communicate and influence internal and external relationships and to confidently negotiate at senior management level.
  • 5 Years of lighting experience is a plus.
  • Basic financial calculations to measure profitability and presenting basic financial information in relation to contract/distributor performance. Knowledge of general business processes and documents such as invoices, credits, sales orders, and vouchers.Must test at the intermediate level or higher on the Excel skills test
  • Software: MS Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Access, and Excel), and SharePoint/Cognos/PeopleSoft/P21 are a plus.
  • Some travel is required throughout the year (10-20% as needed).
