Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross functional teams to help define and drive process/Quality/Test deliverables for new product launches
  • Effectively communicate Process/Quality deliverables status to Project Managers and other key stakeholders
  • Active participation in development of FMEA’s, design verification & validation protocols for new products and product enhancements
  • Drive process validation runs in collaboration with global teams during NPI launches
  • Drive PPAP deliverables during New Product launches
  • Perform Supplier Qualification, and Process audits, as required.
  • Champion problem solving initiatives using structured methods to prevent recurrence of non-conformances
  • Analyze warranty data to understand primary drivers for returns, monitor trends and drive appropriate corrective actions.
  • Support Total cost productivity and other Kaizen initiatives aligned with Business goals.
  • Assist in setting Annual TCP (Total Cost Productivity) targets and facilitate actions to realize targets.
  • Lead supplier performance improvement projects for Strategic suppliers, as applicable. (Overseas Travel)
  • Support MRB (Material Review Board) and drive root cause counter measures
  • Interface with customers to manage customer complaints and drive resolution

Requirements:

  • Five (5) plus years’ experience in similar field and function
  • Must be a strong team player and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-directed with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience working with Global teams and Asian Suppliers
  • Drive Process Validation runs and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) protocols for new product launches
  • Be proficient in Statistical process control techniques (Control charts, Pareto, Sampling plans, Cause and Effects diagram, Gage R&R, Cp, Cpk etc.) and leading discussions on development of PFMEA and control plans
  • Proficient in Process audits, and Supplier qualification audits.
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.Must be familiar with formal problem-solving methodology such as 8D.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point).
  • Expect 10-15% travel.Occasional International travel may be required
  • Good understanding of SMT, and Wave Soldering Process
  • Understanding of LED Technology
  • Quality Systems Knowledge

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
