Job Description


The Senior Product Manager, Diversified Channels will be responsible for leading the product management team in launching new high growth products and scaling the existing product portfolio across paint, primer, and specialty categories. The successful candidate will have a holistic and strategic mindset, and will partner effectively with cross-functional teams including sales, channel marketing, supply chain, R&D, finance, sales operations and more. Reporting to the VP, Marketing & eCommerce, the SPM is responsible for the day to day supervision of all aspects of product development for Diversified Channels.


  • Lead product management for the full portfolio of coatings products and brands including KILZ Primer, Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines, and paint and specialty/stains sold in leading home improvement retailers including The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walmart, Ace, and True Value
  • Lead the product team in the development of an innovative product development and pipeline strategy to support of brand's strategic direction, including focus in fast-growing categories and subcategories, hero products, and brand-building channels
  • Collaborate in the development of the product marketing strategy including product architecture, product launch process and go-to-market strategy
  • Analyze white space opportunities based on findings from consumer and account insights, social listening, third-party and industry data, and market trends
  • Ensure the product team remains up-to-date on the competitive and market landscape, including competitor strengths and weaknesses, market trends, and changing customer needs
  • Work with product managers, R&D and legal on claims validation and testing strategy
  • Manage a cohesive Diversified Channels product management team, ensuring team members receive transparent communications, growth and development support, and day-to-day guidance to optimize their efforts and the overall business


  • 5-7 years experience in product management or related roles
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Proven track record of leadership within an organization, experience leading, hiring, and managing a team preferred
  • An analytical and data-driven mindset when making decisions
  • Strong storytelling skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Must know and understand advanced features of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and working knowledge or ability to learn key functions of SAP
