Masco Cabinetry has an immediate opening for a Sr Manager, Design Trend and Innovationat our corporate headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI!

Responsible for leading the development of new products by working with multifunctional teams, researching, developing and tracking new product development. Manages the process from product development to product launch, ensuring execution is in line with project plan. Provide authoritative guidance on leading, current and waning kitchen design trends.


  • Focus on long term product and design horizon while balancing shorter term projects that align with financial targets
  • Monitor trends and attend relevant industry events
  • Lead innovative product design grounded in solid business acumen
  • Provide design direction by actively working with team members and partners on matters related to product design, including form, function, ergonomics, materials and finish
  • Drive consistent innovations that align to company’s strategic direction
  • Work with Product Engineering and Manufacturing to implement new product designs and innovations
  • Travel to customers and collect VOC
  • Work with Product Platform Managers on new product design, trends and innovations
  • Develop, test, and institute new processes for greater success and efficiency
  • Assist and support design projects, retail sales and display assignments
  • Report on and maintain up to date project tracking documentation for assigned projects


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Research, Product Design, Architectural Design, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in design, planning and development
  • Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience managing local and remote resources
  • Demonstrated successful ability to work collaboratively with various departments
  • Demonstrated innovative and strategic thinking required, as well as a successful track record implementing tactical solutions that result in measurable business benefits
  • Familiarity with Stage-Gate principles
  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Prior Cabinetry Experience
  • Excellent Visual Communication Skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50%


  • Master’s degree in Business or related field
  • Proficiency working with 3D Modeling software
