Purpose: The Consultant, Culture & Inclusion will support the development, embedding, and continuous evolution of the Behr inclusion, diversity, and culture-related strategy around the world as the needs of the business evolve. The individual in this role will achieve his/her objectives by closely collaborating with HR Business Partners, business leaders, and the Talent Acquisition COE.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Research inclusion, diversity, communication, and culture-related best practices and identify how to translate and adapt them into Behr’s environment. 
  • Create a short- and long-term plan focused on broadening Behr’s view of inclusion & diversity and helping team members at all levels embrace it.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and partner closely with stakeholders across HR and the business to develop and embed practices that drive positive diversity, inclusion, and other culture-related outcomes across the employee life cycle.
  • Contribute to creating a strong inclusion, diversity, and culture-related value proposition for Behr through strong external partnerships aimed at knowledge-sharing and benchmarking Behr’s efforts against those of other best-in-class organizations.
  • Develop and execute on a communication strategy, designed to bring awareness to, and drive the successful deployment of, key People Services initiatives, including the engagement survey.
  • Identify metrics to assess the effectiveness of culture, inclusion and diversity initiatives, along with the appropriate channels/forums, internally and externally, through which to share them.
  • Manage vendor relationships for inclusion and diversity initiatives, as applicable.
  • Support the design, development, and implementation of other talent and organizational effectiveness initiatives, as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree in related field (e.g., Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, or Human Resources) preferred
  • 7+ years’ experience in a corporate environment
  • Change management education and experience a plus
  • Demonstrated effectiveness designing and managing culture and inclusion-related initiatives
  • Demonstrated effectiveness designing communications to support the rollout of initiatives
  • Broad knowledge of diversity and inclusion processes, procedures, best practices, resources and networks
  • Passion for inclusion and appreciation for all forms of diversity
  • Strong relationship skills; able to develop “trusted advisor” status at management/leadership levels to positively influence decisions and behaviors
  • Excellent strategic planning skills and creative, problem-solving capability
  • Strong project management skills and a drive for results
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to build support and sponsorship of initiatives and collaboration among stakeholders
