Job Description


Shipper I employee is responsible for staging product in the warehouse. A Shipper I employee performs a variety of staging assignments in a warehouse setting and requires seasonal availability for a seven day workweek (8-12 hours per day) and ability to work any shift. The work is performed indoors in ambient weather conditions, which fluctuate in temperature extremes from + 32oF to + 110F.


  • Perform departmental activities per standard operating procedures, MPS, and Milgra
  • Perform quality inspections
  • Ensure Warehouse is stocked according to route and track down product that is missing.
  • Create and execute MPS objectives; meet MPS commitments and work within the guidelines of MPS.
  • Reflect Milgard business values and the Milgard Core Values in all business interactions.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures related to all facets of job.
  • Proper usage of personal protective equipment.

  • None


  • Previous experience in warehouse environment, particularly window manufacturing preferred
  • Glass handling and/or glass knowledge a plus.


  • None


  • Sufficient literacy to read and understand window labels and route codes
  • Ability to use hand held scanning unit
  • Compute basic math problems to include fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to count to 500.
  • Good hand eye coordination and the ability to discern colors.
  • Capable of lifting up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to work in, and promote a team environment.


  • Work performed in a warehouse type facility with temperatures subject to normal environmental conditions.
  • Hearing protection and safety glasses required, additional safety equipment provided based on specific job.
  • Work surfaces are primarily concrete with anti-fatigue mats provided where feasible. Personnel will stand while performing their respective job functions, for up to 12 hours a day.
