Job Description

We have created a new opportunity in our Denver location for a Service Supervisor. This role is responsible for overseeing and directing the daily responsibilities and activities of the service technicians and customer care coordinators. Responsible for training and development of service personnel and for assuring all safety and performance procedures are adhered to. The position also will assist in future planning to improve quality, safety, and performance.


Responsible for overseeing department personnel to ensure work requirements are met while minimizing costs. Develop or revise standard operating procedures and ensure compliance by service personnel along with compliance of company policies, procedures, plant wide safety, and rules of employee conduct. Provide training to department personnel. Interview, hire, discipline, and terminate service department personnel. Effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Follow up on service issues to completion. Handle issues in a tactful and professional manner. Evaluate service issues to determine if warranty or chargeable and communicate to service personnel, home owners, dealers, etc. Attend bi-weekly quality meetings providing input from field observations. Liaison between manufacturing, quality, and technicians working to identify and correct problems with manufacturing and quality. Create and support MPS commitments and objectives.


Responsibilities include:

  • Interacts with Milgard associates, Dealers, and homeowners to evaluate customer’s needs and follow through with serviced related issues to completion.
  • Works closely with Technicians and Customer Care Coordinators for scheduling, work completion, re-scheduling, additional material needing to be ordered, and homeowner contact and updates.
  • Create and execute MPS objectives; meet MPS commitments and work within the guidelines of MPS.
  • Reflect Milgard business values and the Milgard Philosophy in all business interactions.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures related to all facets of job.
  • Proper usage of personal protective equipment.
  • Effectively manage by KPI’s.
  • Oversees the service department personnel consisting of 15-20 technicians and 8-10 coordinators.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years related service and/or warranty experience. Some previous window or IG experience preferred. Associates or BA/BS in Degree along with previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
