Senior Pricing Analyst

Role Summary

The successful candidate must have ability to work with complex data sets to help Kichler Lighting determine and set competitive prices to gain market share and achieve revenue goals.  This is a highly analytical role that considers data from multiple sources and develop complex pricing models.  The successful candidate must also have the ability to analyze competitor pricing along with market conditions to determine ideal target prices and price structures.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze pricing data by accessing data from a variety of sources
  • Derive insights into pricing strategies and market trends
  • Use quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze competitor pricing
  • Assess market share and margins
  • Utilize statistical modeling methods to prepare reports to show potential impact of various pricing strategies, including their effect to margins and they impact overall profitability and sales volume
  • Monitor and measure price elasticity to understand how customers respond to price changes and help reduce the uncertainly of sales impact in regard to price changes
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product Management, and Sales to help develop and enact competitive pricing strategies
  • Perform ROI analysis on promotional program (before and after)
  • Analyze Customer response to promotional efforts
  • Determine more effective ways to reach customers and gain market share
  • Help manage various product line strategies and product portfolios
  • Analyze product pricing in relation to distribution channel performance; Recommend and help implement pricing initiatives to improve volume and profitability by Customer
  • Analyze financial impact of pricing approach in view of overall history as well as the profitability of customers
  • Monitor industry trends by working closely with Sales and Marketing to stay abreast of trends within our product portfolios, Customer segments, and competition
  • Identify, track, and communicate trends that may impact volume or profitability
  • Recommend strategies based on trend information that can increase market share/revenue, mitigate risk of potential lost revenue, and/or improve profitability
  • Review and translate retail Point of Sale data into useful trend reports that can be used to measure and influence pricing and product decisions.
  • Develop pricing tools to streamline the analysis process
  • Provide more immediate information regarding competitor prices and promotion performance
  • Enable more dynamic pricing for improved pricing adjustment process
  • Participate in the Business Intelligence tool implementation
  • Generate both standard reports and custom reports to support Pricing initiatives
  • Responsible for monthly Pricing KPI and Business Initiative reporting
  • NPI Process
  • Participate in and support the New Product Introduction process in relation to Pricing, Quoting, and execution of strategy.  

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Marketing from an accredited College or University
  • Minimum of five years of Pricing experience in a Corporate environment
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Proven track record of translating complex data into comprehensive actionable reports
  • Strong financial aptitude including, margins, pricing, and profitability
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate at various levels of the organization
  • Experience with process documentation and training

Desired:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Marketing from an accredited College or University
  • Experience with PeopleSoft
  • Experience with P21
