Job Description

  • Scope/Summary
Play a role as key contributor to the brand’s strategic choices, product and commercial direction and innovations, holistic communication plans, and brand executions across all media and consumer touch points; Be responsible for leading the brand results in the China market as well as engaging in projects that are leveraged from US headquarters; Be accountable for developing and executing plans, programs and promotional campaigns in partnership with the local marketing organization and resources as well as internal multi-disciplinary teams and external creative and communication agencies; Other duties may be assigned as required.

  • Essential Functions
  1. Lead in the creation and implementation of Brand strategy, Advertising, PR, Consumer bonding, Digital Asset Development and Marketing and Project Management.
  1. Plan and manage marketing budget and investment and ensure accuracy in monthly/quarterly accrual, forecast and actual spending/payment.
  1. Recommend, develop and execute marketing strategies, plans and programs that build on Consumer and Customer (Trade) insights/decisions to achieve retail excellence to drive traffic and convert sales both online and offline.
  1. Lead local consumer intimacy and improve consumer satisfaction.
  1. Analyze local category and brand performance measurement and competitor activity/product reviews, develop and adjust plans and recommendations.
  1. Manage research programs and translate research into business decisions, providing key insights and advice to China management and International Core team.
  1. Influence market/customer strategies by providing insights through a wide variety of data sources.
  1. Work with US marketing and product team to develop advanced training programs suitable for various channels and manage the changes and updates to meet local requirements.
  1. Grow people and ensure that market/consumer knowledge is shared, understood and acted upon within and across the teams.
  1. Manage agency partners, ensuring maximum value for the business with regard to quality, timeliness and service; Models agency management techniques for local team members.

  • Job Qualifications
  1. University graduate, MBA preferable; 10+ years’ demonstrable success in Marketing/Brand Management, and a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience specifically focused on product marketing and retail marketing.
  1. Excellent bi-lingual English/Mandarin communication skills in written and spoken.
  1. Ability to effectively lead cross-functional initiatives with sales, marketing, business operations, and executive leadership within tight deadlines.
  1. Business acumen - Ability to connect the dots and generate insights, prioritize business questions/needs and make recommendations.
  1. Strong analytics, ability to synthesize large amounts of data into an organized collection of information to gain new insights.
  1. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment, and excellent interpersonal skills to engage with complex multicultural cross-functional teams in order to achieve business objectives.
  1. Self-motivated with the ability to balance multiple simultaneous projects/deliverables, shifting priorities, and deadlines and see them through to successful completion.
  1. Understand competition, products, market share, retail environment.
  1. Prepare management reports and tasks as required.
  1. Constructively challenge business unit management and effectively influence outcomes of key processes.
  1. Recommend changes to current operating processes and procedures.
  1. Productively interface with external creative partners, field sales, and retail customers and consumers.
