JOB SUMMARY:  The Senior Accountant will be responsible for various accounting and analytical needs of the company. This position reports to the Controller.


  • Ownership of Month end close including journal entries, reconciliations, and ad hoc reporting
  • Cost analysis and data collection to assist the management team in making decisions
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Preparation of various reports for the management team
  • Inventory accounting, standard and job costing
  • Manage cycle count program
  • Meet corporate financial reporting deadlines (5 day close)
  • Help drive productivity improvements and management of working capital
  • Special projects


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Accounting degree required, CPA/MBA a plus
  • 6-8 years of experience
  • Manufacturing background a plus but not required
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Word, Access, Made2Manage is the ERP system)
  • Good problem- solving skills
  • Comfortable with regular and frequent interpersonal interaction
  • Experience with inventory management a plus but not required
  • Expertise with SQL highly preferred, but not required.  Company will see to appropriate education and training in this regard for the right candidate.
