We are hiring a Search Marketing Manager to join our Digital Marketing team!


Do you consider yourself an expert in leading and executing Search Marketing strategies?  Our Search Marketing Manager will lead our Paid Media and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies and roadmaps to increase qualified website traffic, qualified sales leads, revenue, and other measurable transactions. In this position, as our subject matter expert, you will be responsible for planning, developing, optimizing, implementing, and analyzing all paid and organic digital marketing activities for Watkins Wellness®’ brands that helps set, implement, and optimize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and levers that drive our business. This position reports to our Sr. Director of Digital Marketing and works collaboratively with the broader marketing services group and brand marketing teams.


  • Are you a strong team leader?  You will provide leadership and manage the day-to-day activities for our Search Marketing team.  This includes assigning workload, managing performance, hiring, coaching, inspiring, and encouraging career development.  You’ll also be responsible for managing external agency partners and overseeing all associated budgets. 
  • Can you develop winning strategies? You will drive our SEO strategy to increase qualified traffic and conversions across various platforms and devices, while also developing and aligning strategic keywords research to build authority in the search engines across SEO and Search Engine Marketing (SEM). We will rely on you to align our SEO efforts to a defined online customer journey, persona and content, to maximize online and offline shopping experiences. 
  • Can you optimize results? You will lead conversion rate optimization efforts and best practices through ongoing A/B and multi-variant testing including visual insights and heatmaps.  You’ll also continuously optimize plans and programs to increase category interest, brand preference, and share of voice in the digital space, as well as, create reporting dashboards, analysis and ongoing recommendations for continual improvements. 
  • Can you dive deep into SEO? You’ll manage dynamic sitemaps, maintain regular updates with Google and Bing Webmaster Tools and implement best practices for semantic and structured markup. You will also maintain our overall workflow to ensure on-page optimization is performed on all new and existing web pages and perform regular audits to identify and fix technical indexing issues, and categorize, organize, and refine keyword lists and segmentation through taxonomy optimization for current and future product collections.
  • Do you love Paid Media?  You will champion our SEM, Display, and Social paid media strategies and provide campaign performance insights as it relates to setting and analyzing KPIs and traffic reports.  You’ll also implement and continuously optimize automated bid management, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and campaign management tools, and assess the Return on Investment (ROI) of our paid media efforts to manage day-to-day budgetary decisions.
  • Are you analytical?  You will be responsible for understanding and providing campaign performance insights as it relates to setting and analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and traffic reports.  You’ll also own lead acquisition, attribution modeling, and form conversion, to improve leads volume and quality, conversion rates, and ROI of our paid media budgets to make recommendations influencing revenue and ad spend.  
  • Can you manage outside resources? You’ll lead our agency management efforts to deliver exceptional results by developing strategies and targets to include driving customer engagement and qualified traffic to websites and dedicated landing pages.  You’ll also monitor progress and address concerns as needed while maintaining positive and productive working relationships and identifying and establishing new relationships and resources as required.Are you customer focused? We will ask you to develop and deliver training sessions to our channel partners through online webinars, presentations, as well as, in person at conferences, meetings, and other special events.
  • Can you manage a budget? You will develop and manage the Paid Media budget in collaboration with the Sr. Director of Digital Marketing to ensure that ad spend is properly allocated between brands, campaigns, ad groups and keywords
  • Do you stay current? We will look to you to keep up with digital marketing trends and latest technologies by investing in trainings, certifications, webinars, conferences, networking events, etc.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Google AdWords certification is required.  Additional certification(s) in Google Analytics and/or bid management (i.e. DoubleClick, Marin) is a plus.
  • At least four (4) years of experience in digital/online marketing experience with at least two (2) years’ experience in team leadership with direct reports is required.  Experience in a manufacturing environment with high-ticket durable goods is preferred; Experience in ecommerce (B2B, B2C) is a plus. Experience working within a digital agency experience is desired. 
  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing and online tools, with specific areas of emphasis in the following: Search Engine Optimization Tools (MOZ etc.), HTML 5 and creative tools (Adobe suite), Paid Media Tools and Demand Side Platforms (DoubleClick, Kenshoo, Marin, SEM Rush), Paid Social Media (LinkedIn Sponsored Ads, Facebook Advertising, Instagram stories), Web and Mobile CRO (Hotjar, Kampyle, CrazyEgg), Web Analytics (Google Analytics, GA 360, Adobe Prime), CRM (SFDC, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho), Artificial Intelligence and chat bots (Drift, Verloop, Chatkit)
  • Advanced proficiency Microsoft Excel is required. Strong proficiency in other MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and various content management systems (CMS) is needed.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization, as well as, strong ability to work in a team environment, are required to be successful in this position.
  • Ability and willingness to travel (~ 10%) for channel partner visits, conferences, sales meetings, etc.
