IS THIS YOU?

  • Are you quality-minded?  You will select and test products specifications related to dimensions, performance, mechanical, electrical or chemical characteristics. You’ll also perform destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, reliability, or other characteristics that help us ensure we are manufacturing top quality products.

  • Can you draw conclusions?  You will record test data and apply statistical quality control techniques, offering recommendations regarding non-conforming conditions to the quality engineer team for quality improvements through changes in product or test methodology. You will also evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards based on direction from engineering.
  • Are you knowledgeable in dimensional inspection?  A portion of this position will require First Article inspection or 100%-part layouts using precision measurement systems such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.  You will also present the status and results of First Article inspections to the New Product Introduction team members and subsequently work closely with engineering to identify issues and help develop solutions.
  • Are you familiar with calibration?  You may be tasked with performing calibration duties such as recalling tools and scheduling onsite and offsite calibration with external service providers.  This will also entail maintaining information in the calibration database to ensure all required tools meet the organizations’ calibration requirements.  Additionally, you may be requested to perform hand tool calibration and maintenance as needed.
  • Can you interpret drawings?  You will need to read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications.  This will include relaying engineering requirements to production and inspection teams when needed.  You’ll also make recommendations to quality engineering for quality improvements regarding manufacturing troubleshooting activities.
