Masco Cabinetry has an immediate opening for a Quality Manager, in Culpeper, Virginia!

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage plant’s Quality Management System (QMS); serve as QMS contact with corporate QMS team for audits, document standardization, etc.
  • Utilize data to identify improvement opportunities and facilitate preventive and corrective activities.
  • Perform quality inspections and process audits to ensure manufactured products meet product specifications and that engineering documentation and standards are consistent with manufacturing methods.
  • Manage, train and provide performance feedback to direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of their team.
  • Implement and conduct training programs and provide solutions for organizational training needs.
  • Develop quality control plans for new product development and introduction, manage the quality assurance aspects of current product adhering to company policies, and initiate programs to measure and control the cost of quality.
  • Maintain cost reduction documentation and provide recommendations for further cost saving initiatives.
  • Serve on steering team for continuous improvement program; includes aiding in the implementation of lean manufacturing methods, facilitating Kaizen events, leading Six Sigma / Kata projects and identifying opportunities for improvement

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field and 5 years manufacturing leadership experience in a quality and/or continuous improvement role; or 9 years relevant experience plus an Associate’s degree.
  • Experience in an ISO based, or equivalent, quality management system.
  • Fundamental knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma processes.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure on time completion of deadlines.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with the cabinet industry and product.
  • Experience serving as a Process Owner or Management Representative in an ISO based, or equivalent, quality system.
  • Lean, Six Sigma or other CI or problem solving certification.
  • Quality Auditor certification, Quality Engineer certification, or Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence certification.
  • Fluent written and spoken Spanish language skills.
