Masco Cabinetry has an immediate opening for a Quality Manager position at our corporate headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI, and supporting multi-sites!

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for all aspects of the multi-site quality and continuous improvement programs to ensure successful attainment of multi-site goals and objectives.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, execute and deliver the quality and continuous improvement business plans to support the multi-site plant operations.
  • Manage, refine and lead the execution of the quality management system at all levels of the organization across multiple facilities as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain continuous improvement programs and implement lean manufacturing methods.
  • Establish and maintain extensive integration of the quality and continuous improvement business plans with the Management Operating System (MOS).
  • Develop quality control plans for new product development and introduction, manage the quality assurance aspects of current product adhering to company policies, and initiate programs to measure and control the cost of quality. 
  • Lead analysis of quality data in support of plant quality managers, continuous improvement initiatives and quality planning and management processes. 
  • Maintain initiative savings documentation and provide recommendations for further cost savings and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement by effectively leveraging communication processes and employee relations programs.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field; or 8 years quality and lean based continuous improvement process and system experience in a leadership role with a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • 5 years leadership experience in a manufacturing and/or continuous improvement role.
  • Experience in ISO based or equivalent quality systems.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fundamental knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen activities and Six Sigma processes.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% including ability to travel daily between plant locations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Six Sigma Certification or comparable problem solving certification.
  • Quality Auditor certification, Quality Engineer certification, or Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence certification.
  • Manufacturing equipment and/or total preventive maintenance experience.
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes and/or Statistical Process Control (SPC).
