Job Description


  • Perform dimensional and visual inspection on vacuum chamber components and ceramic valve plates.
  • Communicate with Purchasing/vendors regarding rejected product.
  • Perform periodic finished goods audits of coated valve plates.
  • Maintain inspection/test equipment calibration schedule. Send out equipment for calibration according to the schedule. Maintain calibration records.
  • Create receiving inspection procedures and update these procedures when parts are revised by a Product Change Order.


  • Must have ≥5 years of experience as a mechanical inspector or quality technician in an industrial organization. One of the following American Society for Quality professional certifications is highly desired:
    • Certified Quality Inspector
    • Certified Quality Technician
  • Must be able to read engineering drawings and understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
  • Should have some experience with statistical process control software.
  • Education: High school diploma as a minimum, Associate Degree in a technical field is a plus.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and must be competent with Microsoft Office tools such as Word.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week.
