The Quality Assurance Team Member is responsible for the inspection of in-process and finished parts, as well as hands-on training of new production employees on the quality system as it pertains to their job. Individuals in this role will be an auditor of the Quality Management System as it pertains to shop floor activities.  

  • Must be willing to work on-call and overtime as needed.
  • Must have basic computer understanding and ability to use applicable software.
  • Must have ability to use or aptitude to learn basic excel.
  • Must have good math and reading skills and willingness to learn blue print reading.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow directions and good attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Use of all measurement and test equipment in their area of responsibility.


  • Measuring and testing finished, and in-process parts as described on the control plan,
  •   and recording that data onto the appropriate audit report.
  • Determining the acceptability of material lots and identifying them as either approved or on-hold.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Training new employees on the proper use of the production documents and quality
      fixtures for their job.
  • Reporting any training deficiencies to the appropriate manufacturing supervisor.
  • General maintenance and clean-up of the work area.
  • Know and follow all OSHA and Mercury Plastics safety rules
  • Complying with all ISO procedures, Work Instructions and test instructions as it pertains to
      their assignment.


  • Must be able to stand for 2-3 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to periodically lift and carry to up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to twist, pull, push, and bend.
  • Must be able to identify quality variances visually.
