POSITION:

PR and Content Marketing Creator

LOCATION: Mississauga, ON

You have a background in communications, and a passion for storytelling, internal communication and community building. You love great marketing and enjoy building relationships. You are a skilled writer with a background in both B2B and B2C. You are an active listener, a team player, and an accomplished communicator. You’re a storyteller with a brain for business. You’re curious, incredibly resourceful and brimming with ideas. And design – you have a passion for great design – be it interior design or graphic design.

You have broad knowledge of the media industry, marketing technologies and measuring tools; along with a passion for continuous learning and staying informed on media trends. Expertise on integrating Paid, Owned and Earned media in an omnichannel reality to maximize impact online and offline. You can work cross functionally to deliver on business plans, goals and processes; and work independently to lead a project and implement desired actions with speed and simplicity.

This role is well-suited for a self-motivated team player with strong problem-solving and project management abilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development of content to support and position our brands. Including; product assets, blog posts, intranet posts, website, social media posts, literature, and public relations materials
  • Manage social media platforms – develop strategy, content and manage overall execution
  • Managing and designing influencer programs
  • Develop communication packages and presentations such as press releases and liaise with media
  • Create, edit, write, proofread SEO rich communication materials, with the ability to copywrite across multiple channels and tones from causal to professional
  • Project management as it relates to marketing communications projects and specifically; creative briefs, proofing, editing, distribution, budgeting, process development
  • Direct and build strong working relationships with agency partners

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations or Marketing or equivalent education experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience with working in a public relations or social media role
  • Influencer partnership management
  • Clear understanding and experience for applying SEO best practices within a content marketing strategy
  • Content marketing experience (hands-on content generation and repurposing strategies across social channels)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytic skills so projects have meaningful key performance indicators and communicate return on investment or other significant areas of brand growth
  • Ability to project manage
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Marketing tools
  • Bilingual is an asset
  • Graphic design experience is a definite asset
  • Sales Force experience is an asset
