We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our Engineering team in Vista, CA!


As a Project Engineer, you will be reporting to the Sr. Director of Engineering and be actively involved in researching, planning, designing, and managing mechanical and electromechanical projects related to the engineering of our products lines such as Hot Spring® Spas, Caldera® Spas, Freeflow Spas®, Fantasy Spas®, and Endless Pools®. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple project stakeholders, interact with senior and executive management, and participate in cross-functional teams within the organization.


  • Do you have a diverse engineering background? You will be designing products or systems; incorporating fundamental concepts of mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, pneumatic, and/or heat transfer sciences. You’ll also design plastic componentry for injection, extrusion, and vacuum molding, including evaluating and selecting appropriate plastic materials.
  • Are you analytical? You’ll be looked upon to design and execute testing protocols with both in-house and third party partners. From there, you will be responsible for analyzing data/results and incorporating those results into design and development activities.
  • Do you have strong project management skills? We are looking for someone who can work independently while contributing to a team environment, successfully manage multiple engineering projects concurrently, and demonstrate strong follow-through. You’ll also oversee in-house and outside resources from concept to factory introduction, with responsibility for art-to-part design, cost/budget control, timelines, and safety.
  • Are you accountable? You will be responsible for ensuring that implementation activities of products and systems conform to engineering design and project specifications.
  • Can you problem-solve? In this role, you will evaluate field and warranty issues and recommend design modifications to eliminate product and process weaknesses.
  • Are you process driven? As an ISO certified organization, it will be critical that all activities and work assignments are completed per our ISO and Stage Gate processes.
  • Are you results-oriented? We are looking for demonstrated ability to work towards results and be able to prioritize activities. As a part of this, you’ll also be tasked to improve process work flow and efficiency when possible, and work to avoid future issues and problems as it relates to engineering designs.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline. Master's degree is preferred but not required. The equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in engineering and engineering project management. Engineering experience working with motor design, consumer products, water-related engineering, injection molding design, and/or plastics and materials is strongly preferred.
  • High proficiency level in CAD, FEA, MS Office and project management.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and ability in process improvement, cost savings, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization and strong ability to work in a team environment are necessary to be successful in this position.
  • Must be willing and able to travel (domestic and international) ~15%.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish (speak, read, and write) is a plus.
