The Program Manager oversees the management of a suite of product development projects, ensuring on time launch and on budget.  This person leads a cross-functional Product Development team through all stages of development while maintaining responsibility and compliance to Brasscraft standards, processes and business objectives. The Program Manager needs to understand the new product development (NPD) Stage Gate process.  This person should also possess an appreciation for project management best practices in order to achieve project success.  This position works closely with many areas of the organization and often leads and collaborates with cross-functional teams, including working with senior management.


  • Acts as a focal point for the entire Product Development execution team and facilitates intra-team communication
  • Leads the development and presentation of business cases as it relates to resources, budget and timeline
  • Creates and manages the project schedule, including dependencies and resource requirements from concept through project closure
  • Tracks and measures project schedule compliance, performance v. goal, and overall achievement of objectives at various stages of the project lifecycle
  • Manages the resolution and escalation of project issues
  • Facilitates decision-making and manages project communications to relevant stakeholders
  • Facilitates post-launch review meetings to discuss lessons learned, spend v. budget, schedule compliance and obtainment of goals
  • Works with the Program Management group to drive efficiencies and improvements to the NPD Stage Gate process
  • Tracks and updates status for the portfolio of projects under their management
  • Able to travel up to 10%+
  • Performs other related duties as needed and assigned


  • BS in Engineering, Marketing or related field and at least minimum 8 years of direct project management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in the execution of new product development projects or launching new products is necessary for successful execution of the role


  • Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels of the organization, to influence others relative to company objectives as well as to clarify and maintain focus on team goals and objectives
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships, while working collaboratively with cross-functional business teams
  • Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines
  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite


  • Familiarity with the plumbing industry and products
  • MBA and/or Project Management Certification (PMP) are a plus
