SCOPE:

The Production Lead is responsible for direction of 12-15 Operation personnel. The successful candidate should have a combination of leadership and Injection Molding experience. Candidate must have the ability to promote a safe work environment, adhere to all customer quality expectations, follow scheduling requirements, and promote good housekeeping and 5-S principles.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be proficient in MS Office
  • Must have a 1-3 years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment  
  • Must possess strong leadership and communication skills
  • High School graduate or GED
  • Technical school or degree in a related field is a plus
  • Continuous Improvement experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in an ISO 9001:2008 certified company.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling  
  • May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule Operators to machines to complete production requirements.
  • Coordinate and assist with mold changes to fulfill schedule requirements.
  • Assign specific and daily tasks to utility person.
  • Coordinate tooling and equipment availability, repair and maintenance. 
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintain a safe work environment within injection molding department.
  • Respond to problems by performing corrective technical, process, or mechanical solutions.
  • Maintain positive employee relations.
  • Support adherence to Company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
  • Manage and assist in troubleshooting all shift maintenance matters, including preventive and minor maintenance on all injection molding equipment.
  • Communicate and record pertinent and required information using email and established documentation.
