Purpose:

As a young professional you will be integrated into the world of product marketing and experience first-hand what it is like working on real-world projects that impact the business.  This role will allow you to gain knowledge of processes and projects necessary to gain entrée into the consumer package goods industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in weekly cross-functional new product development team meetings to support project initiatives and new product launches
  • Lead, conduct and tabulate product research and data collection
  • Conduct competitive analysis to support trade products and initiatives
  • Assist in data collection and presentation building to facilitate the product roadmap
  • Active participant and interaction with customers during numerous customer events including heightened involvement during large customer Showroom Events
  • Assist with daily tasks requested by product managers

Education & Experience:

  • The ideal candidate is working on a bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing, preferably a Sophomore or Junior.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Able to take direction and work independently
  • Be a self-starter, inquisitive and outgoing
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power Point and Word
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and be flexible

This internship starts in May 2020, 40 hours a week during the summer time frame and continues into the Fall semester working 15-20 hours a week.
