The Product Manager works closely with marketing and executive management to ensure that the product/brand remains relevant to consumers and channel partners. The position is both the brand champion and “go-to” person for product development. Key responsibilities include identifying and analyzing market trends and data to develop new products or product enhancements. Manages product specifications, features and benefits for all dealer, mass market and private brand products worldwide. Checks on product production to ensure products meet quality goals. Tracks performance and maintain reports to maximize sales opportunities. Actively participates in the forecasting process and associated financials. Makes pricing recommendations. Assists in training of internal and external customers.

The position collaborates with the Creative, Marketing Communications, Sales teams.

  • Provides input in the development of overall strategy for assigned products.
  • Develops business plans for new and existing products.Evaluates potential of new products and follows through on progress during various stages of development.
  • Leads the “Ideation” meeting, as part of the Design Review Committee (DRC).
  • Leads the “Pipeline” meeting as part of the DRC.This includes developing Action Plans for all products in the pipeline.
  • Collaborates on a regular basis with the Endless Pools’ Product Manager in Vista, California.
  • Interacts with vendors as required, to advance new and existing product initiatives.
  • Evaluates strengths and weaknesses of existing products, their sales and margin performance, and makes recommendations for additions, enhancements, phase-outs, etc.
  • Consults with other departments, as needed, to evaluate new product concepts, existing product enhancements and cost savings.
  • Collects insights, analyzes data and succinctly articulates the “story” behind the forecast numbers and makes recommendation regarding the go-forward plan. Creates, monitors and updates sales forecasts for assigned products.Works closely with Production Control and Purchasing to manage end of life product cycle and to ensure inventory of products are available to meet customer demand.
  • Evaluates product margins and makes pricing recommendations.Maintains price lists in accordance with compliance requirements.
  • Develops sales and marketing reports that support business activity on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.
  • Develops key performance metrics for assigned products and regularly reports them to senior management.
  • Monitors and analyzes market trends and competition.Provides analyses to senior management, the Sales team and channel partners, as required.
  • Ensures the creation of effective marketing communications and training for assigned products.Writes product announcements.Prepares and presents information on assigned products to senior management, the Sales team and channel partners, as required.Forums include company meetings, channel partner conferences/meetings, seminars, webinars, etc.
