We are seeking a Product Manager, Freeflow® and Fantasy® Spas to join our Marketing team!


IN A NUTSHELL
Are you a creative, results-driven Product Manager? If so, we are looking for you! As Product Manager, you will oversee the life cycle of all Freeflow® and Fantasy® Spas hot tub and aftermarket product categories from ideation to launch in support of the company’s product strategies and initiatives. This position reports directly to the Sr. Manager of Product Management and requires close partnerships with the Director of Sales and Marketing, AHS, other Product Managers, and with the cross-functional New Product Introduction team.


IS THIS YOU?

  • Can you strategize? You will be responsible for identifying and analyzing market trends and data to develop new products or product enhancements, providing input in the development of overall strategy for assigned products. You’ll also provide analysis to senior management, the Sales team, and channel partners.
  • Do you see the big picture? You will initiate the development of new product ideation, develop business plans for new and existing products, and evaluate the potential of new products, following up on their progress during various stages of development. You’ll also evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of existing products, their sales and margin performance, making recommendations for additions, enhancements, phase-outs, etc.
  • Are you data driven? You will collect insights, analyze data, and succinctly articulate the “story” behind the forecast numbers, making recommendations regarding the go-forward plan. You will also create, monitor and update sales forecasts for assigned products, working closely with Production Control and Purchasing to manage end of life product cycle and to ensure inventory of products are available to meet customer demand.
  • Can you forecast? You will track performance and maintain reports to maximize sales opportunities, actively participating in the forecasting process and associated financials, including making pricing recommendations.
  • Are you quality focused? You’ll manage product specifications, features and benefits for all dealer, mass market and private brand products worldwide. You will also check on production to ensure products meet quality goals.
  • Do you have Marketing expertise? You will ensure the creation of effective marketing communications and training for assigned products, by writing product announcements, preparing and presenting information on assigned products to senior management, the Sales team and channel partners during company meetings, channel partner conferences, seminars, webinars, etc... You’ll also work closely with mass market partners on promotions and special pricing, as well as monitor mass market websites.
  • Can you train others? You will assist in training internal and external customers (including the field sales force) on product-related information.
  • Can you launch new products? You’ll participate in weekly meetings as a member of the New Product Introduction (NPI) team and frequently interact with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Configuration Control, Quality, Finance, Sales and Supply Chain departments, as well as, vendors to evaluate new product concepts, existing product enhancements and cost savings.
  • Can you become a product expert? You’ll evaluate product margins, making pricing recommendations, and maintain price lists in accordance with compliance requirements. You’ll also authorize change orders for assigned products, managing part numbers and related information in the ERP system.
  • Can you develop reports? You will develop sales and marketing reports that support business activity on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis. You will also develop key performance metrics for assigned products and regularly report them to senior management.
  • Are you prepared to travel? You will travel approximately 10% of the time for channel partner visits, conferences, trade shows, company meetings, facility visits to our Tijuana, MX locations, etc.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field is strongly preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 3-5 years of Product Management experience, similar in scope to the responsibilities outlined above, is required. 5 years of general Marketing experience is preferred. Experiences working in a manufacturing environment, with high-ticket durable goods, and/or in the pool and spa industry are all a plus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of consumer products, dealer-direct marketing, brand and product positioning, advertising (creative and media spending), point-of-sale merchandising, product management, business, use of technology (Internet, email, word processing, spreadsheets and electronic presentations).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong ability to work in a team environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to our Tijuana, MX facilities as needed (~5%).
