Masco Cabinetry has an immediate opening for a Product Engineer at our manufacturing facility in Duncanville, TX!

JOB SUMMARY:

Complete tasks supporting the development of cabinetry products. Leadership role in the implementation of projects originating from the New Product Development pipeline or Masco Operating System. Support other engineering projects as required.


PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze and provide recommendation for improvements related to quality and manufacturing opportunities.
  • Lead the development of new cabinetry products, including plant process development.
  • Serve as project manager for basic to moderately complex projects by coordinating with plant management and the shop floor. Develop and manage project timelines and coordinate team meetings.
  • Conduct or ensure proper product testing is approved prior to implementing changes.
  • Ensure drawing and product specification revisions are completed using change management system and processes.
  • Lead the identification and implementation of cost optimization projects.
  • Develop and lead continuous improvement activities to achieve plant goals and objectives in accordance with the Masco Cabinetry Manufacturing Management Operating System (MOS) using DMAIC and Kaizen tools.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with manufacturing and/or product engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent project management skills including leading cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative without daily interaction with management.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time. Position may have multi-site responsibility.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • CNC programming knowledge and/or experience.
  • Experience in Woodworking or the Furniture Industry.
  • Lean and 6 Sigma experience.
