Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists with training to support management in all HR processes (interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review and other HR-related business topics.)
  • Leads, coordinates, plans and budgets for employee and community service events, rewards and recognition, etc. and establishes an annual events calendar and budget. To help drive the employee experience through implementing employee engagement programs
  • Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels.  Responds to questions and inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs, etc.
  • Participates in HR projects and strategic plans as appropriate.
  • Trusted advisor.  Partner with HR business partners and or people managers on employee relations related issues to ensure consistent, transparent application of policies and practices; own investigations when needed.
  • Provides timely service to internal and external customers professionally and with required discretion.
  • Supports optimal use of Workday and Kronos systems, data, metrics and supporting process documentation.
  • HR content management for employees and managers including policies, procedures and employee handbook both hard and digital copy.
  • Day to day monitoring of employee ethics programming and compliance completion.
  • Creatively considers ways to increase the employee experience, efficiency, contain cost, and make improvements on a continual basis.
  • Develops and maintains positive employee relations and promotes company values.
  • Demonstrate a Continuous Improvement mindset – through participation in events and activities that lead to financial gain, time savings, and/or waste reduction for the business.
  • Self-motivated and assertive; ability to navigate complex or ambiguous environments, get answers and drive solutions with minimal oversight.

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of four (4) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have a thorough understanding of federal and state employment and labor laws
  • PHR or SPHR Certification preferred
