We are seeking a Payroll Analyst to join our People Strategy & Services team!

Are you a Human Resources (HR) professional with experience processing payroll from start to finish? Reporting to our Senior People Services Manager, in this position, you will be responsible for providing payroll support and processing for approximately 650 multi-state employees. As our Payroll Analyst, you will also work closely with employees and supervisors to answer payroll related questions and offer analytical support to the People Services team through reporting, analytics, and auditing within our HR systems such as Workday and Kronos.


  • Do you have a passion for Payroll? Your main function will be to process bi-weekly, off cycle, and termination payrolls. This will require working closely with our corporate office (Masco) to maintain processing deadlines.
  • Are you detail-oriented? You will administer, maintain schedules, and ensure accurate records in the following systems: Watkins Wellness Payroll Inbox, Kronos, and Workday. This position is viewed as the point of contact for all Kronos related items, both internally to the business unit and to the parent company (Masco).
  • Are you an Excel pro? You’ll assist with preparing forms, worksheets, reports from Kronos, Workday, and other systems, including annual performance appraisals, merit increases, bonus payouts, monthly headcount and turnover data, as well as, the annual summary reports.
  • Are you compliance focused? You will be responsible for ensuring that tax reports, garnishments and other payroll related documentation are provided to Masco in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for agency and government reporting.
  • Are you organized and customer focused? You will analyze and provide information to our employees, related to Human Resources, benefits inquires (as it relates to our payroll system), and other payroll related issues. Additionally, you will respond to external compensation requests, audits, and legal requests for subpoenas.
  • Do you enjoy a team environment? You’ll partner with the Employee Wellness team to ensure leave of absence payments are paid accurately and on time. You will also assist the People Strategy team with tasks associated with Employee Opinion Surveys and other special projects.
  • Do you stay current on Wage and Hour Laws? In this position, you will stay abreast of all Federal and State regulations in the areas of human resources, payroll, and benefits, by participating in trainings and other opportunities related to payroll or timekeeping initiatives to sharpen mastery and stay current.


  • Bachelor's degree preferred; a minimum of three (3) years related experience and/or training. The equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills creating/using pivot tables and V-Lookups is required. Knowledge of Access is a plus.
  • Must be able to prepare graphs and charts, with the ability to link data between various software programs.
  • Experience using payroll system software, report writing, and timekeeping system experience required. Experience specifically working in Kronos, Citibank, or other related systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and efficient data entry skills are required to be successful in this position.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to present to and interact with all levels within the organization. Must be able to work successfully in a strong team environment.
  • Proficiency in Spanish (verbal or written) is a plus. English language skills are required.
