Job Description

A Mould Build & Repair Operator is responsible for building and repairing muolds and fixtures as well as assisting with the diagnosis of mould malfunctions. This position is also responsible for adhering to specification in the construction of a mould, fixture, and jigs.

What you will do:

  • Diagnose the fixtures, trim jig, CNC jig and mould’s technical issues, suggest repair procedure to the Supervisor and complete repair upon authorization
  • Repair chip, crack, vacuum leak on moulds
  • Resurface moulds as required.
  • Rework the fixtures to ensure proper fit of the shell
  • Assist maintenance and Forming Operator with troubleshooting mould malfunction
  • Assist the New Product Development Team to build prototypes of new product
  • Interpret technical drawings
  • Build new mould, fixture CNC jigs, and plugs to make the mould
  • Consistently meet or exceed production targets
  • Other duties as required

What you will bring:

  • O.S.S.D or equivalent
  • Ability to follow work instructions and interpret technical drawings
  • Ability to pull, push, bend and lift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
  • Successful completion of any pre-employment testing
