Are you currently a systems administrations professional who provides customer support on a daily basis? As the Systems Administrator, you will report to the Senior IT Operations Manager and will manage systems for the IT Operations Department. Your primary goal in this position will be to provide appropriate system administration to the organization with an emphasis on excellent customer service. 


  • Are you systems savvy? You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational administration, maintenance and support of business operating systems, servers and applications. Additionally, you will evaluate, implement and manage appropriate software and hardware solutions of varying complexities.
  • Are you methodical? You will monitor and tune multiple systems, schedule installations and upgrades as needed as well as maintain systems in accordance with established IT policies, procedures and change management guidelines.  This will require advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve problems within your area of responsibility.
  • Are you compliant focused?  You will ensure that all administered systems adhere to established IT standards, policies, procedures and configuration guidelines. This will include monitoring system backups and database archive operations as well as conducting hardware and software audits of servers plus workstations.
  • Are you customer service oriented?  We strive for exceptional customer service that results in meeting or exceeding expectations defined by the standards set by the Division of Information Technology leadership.  You will be responsible for reviewing requests for support submitted by end users, identifying and/or resolving significant issues and escalating as necessary.
  • Are you a team player?  You will work closely with Network Administration and Support Services to help determine and develop new and existing systems. You will also attend IT team meetings and participate in a working atmosphere of cohesiveness, cooperation and enthusiasm to accomplish goals and objectives.
  • Do you stay up-to-date? A portion of this position will include regularly reviewing periodicals, web sites and attending conferences etc. to identify IT technology opportunities and trends.  Upon further evaluation and analysis, you will prepare and present appropriate technology recommendations to your manager. 
  • Are you a clear communicator? You will be responsible for educating and instructing the IT Technical Support Services group on how IT Operation Standards and systems affect the Desktop/Mobile end user environment.  You will also be responsible for preparing communications to end users regarding new systems or changes to existing systems and how they are affected.


  • College degree and/or certification in Information Systems/Technology is strongly desired.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a related Information Technology profession; the equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Administration.
  • Experience with Microsoft System Center product(s) such as Configuration Manager, Operations Manager and/or Service Manager.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization as well as strong ability to work in a team environment.


  • Experience with VMWare virtualization technology such as vSphere or Horizon is a plus.
  • Experience with Mobile Device Manager solutions such as Microsoft Intune is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic scripting skills such as PowerShell are a plus.
  • Antimalware/antivirus administration and other IT security skills are a plus.
