Job Title:                             Merchandising Specialist, e-Commerce

Job Summary:

This position works on key eBusiness capabilities, such as channel analytics, policy enforcement and enhancement, content management, campaign/promotional coordination, and ratings/reviews. This person reports to the head of eCommerce. This person will also provide support for expanding relationships with strategically important e-commerce customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Position will be responsible to work with Brand Marketing, Graphics design, Online Strategic account managers, key customer contacts & other relevant teams, to drive both online content and product distribution/audit processes, traffic acquisition processes and policy (MAP/Sales) administration processes.
  • Work with/Lead other merchandising specialists to ensure the right management of the above processes and implement tracking mechanisms.
  • Drive key eCommerce channel capability building initiatives working closely with various functional areas and ensure that the right capabilities (tools, processes, and policies) are in place to execute on the eCommerce strategy. 
  • Work with the website/digital team to drive alignment between digital marketing and channel marketing practices for eCommerce
  • Establish the process and work with/lead other merchandising specialists to perform competitive analysis to understand how competition is placed across various online retailers. 
  • Demonstrate ability to analyze data and trends; develop insights that create a competitive advantage to help sales and business development.

Qualification Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have a BS in Business or Marketing related field and at least 7-10 years of related online/digital marketing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Must be able to analyze and interpret data from various sources and apply to business needs as well as have an understanding of digital trends and consumer behavior.
  • This person must be highly collaborative, focused on building relationships and a strategic thinker, along with being analytical, have a good knowledge of systems and be process driven. She/he should have the ability to apply resources to drive results against business objectives. 
  • This person must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization as well as with customers.  This role must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment and be able to prioritize multiple, often competing priorities. 
  • Must be able to evaluate decisions based on the impact to the customer and display a willingness and ability to provide world-class customer service.
