JOB SUMMARY:  Provide both strategic and tactical direction in sourcing, price reduction, supplier performance and system implementation.  Manage all warehouse functions.


  • Source, develop and support relationships with suppliers to ensure that quality products are selected and available in a timely fashion at the best possible value.
  • Work with management to understand and establish solutions for the supply chain needs of the organization.
  • Analyze supplier proposals, negotiate supply agreements and perform price forecasting
  • Ability to work with engineering and operations to model and estimate cost for new products.
  • Develop, lead and facilitate process improvement strategies.
  • Maintain inventory levels consistent with company goals. 
  • Monitor safety stock, EOQ’s and lead times on all assigned products.
  • Purchase components as necessary.
  • Monitor individual supplier performance regarding quality and on-time delivery.
  • Establish procurement strategy for on-going, project based, new product development programs.
  • Manage all warehouse, shipping and receiving personnel.


  • 6 to 10 years of progressive supplier management experience.
  • 3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively within department, cross-functional business teams and suppliers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Excellent negotiation skills are required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or business preferred.
  • ERP/MRP system experience. 
  • Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Travel may be required up to 5% of the time.
  • Experience in capital goods is preferred.
  • Experience with production scheduling, continuous improvement, Kaizen and lean manufacturing concepts is a plus.
  • Certified Procurement Manager (CPM) is a plus.
