Job Description


  • Able to travel up to 10%+
  • Performs other related duties as needed and assigned
  • Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods, using knowledge of product design, materials and parts, machining processes, tooling and production equipment, and assembly methods with an emphasis on automation
  • Determines the operations required for fabrication, assembly, machining or processing of products from parts drawings, specifications and other engineering material
  • Support production floor with tooling, machining and/or assembly issues
  • Lead tool tests to determine optimum machining parameters for the various types of brass
  • Implement tooling and machine layout design changes
  • Budget, justify, procure and lead capital equipment projects
  • Decides and plans sequence of operation, forecasts time requirements and prepares operation sheets
  • Oversee production, installation, operation, maintenance, repair and development of new, modified and/or existing systems
  • Works closely with other engineering areas to obtain optimum utilization of equipment
  • Ability to program and troubleshoot PLC programs
  • Experience with vision systems
  • Experience with high speed assembly cells
  • Understanding of the NEC (National Electric Code)
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems

  • Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines
  • Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative without daily interaction with management
  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lift 35lbs
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, mechanical or industrial engineering
  • AutoCAD and MS Office
  • Ability to lead and drive external automation projects with suppliers
  • Be able to analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
  • Be able to estimate production times, staffing requirements and related costs
  • Machining steels and brass alloys
  • Screw machines and CNC knowledge
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Kaizens, and Continuous improvement


  • Familiarity with the plumbing industry and products
