We are hiring a Maintenance Lead to join our Maintenance team!

IN A NUTSHELL

Do you enjoy leading a production maintenance team and projects?  As the Maintenance Lead you are responsible for the planning, coordination and oversight of all Maintenance Mechanic activities.  Your main responsibilities include supervising a team of Maintenance Mechanics and associated maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance on all production machinery/equipment and building systems (e.g. mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, motor and motor controls, CNC/PLC control systems, and basic electrical systems).  Other duties include assisting with the development of maintenance programs, preparing and gathering estimates and quotes for repairs, and hands-on maintenance of all electrical and mechanical equipment.  

IS THIS YOU?

  • Are you a people leader?  You will routinely provide training and guidance to other Maintenance Mechanics to improve overall department performance and develop current as well as new team members.  Other daily Lead duties will include assuring compliance with the team’s schedules and timecard in Kronos.  You’ll also provide input to the Maintenance Supervisor regarding the work performance of each staff member and will be expected to encourage and lead by example when it comes to safety, 5S and continuous improvement.
  • Can you prioritize and delegate multiple tasks?  You will lead a team by safely directing and coordinating the activities of the maintenance crew to maintain manufacturing operations at optimal efficiency and the lowest possible cost.  You will also schedule and assign all work requests based on priority level.
  • Are you mechanically and electrically skilled?  At times, you may need to conduct preventive and predictive maintenance, alterations, improvements, and protection of all company assets, economical and continuous operations.
  • Do you have strong computer skills?  The Maintenance Lead maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.  You will also utilize a CMMS tool to properly maintain inventory for equipment, parts, and supplies by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipate needed equipment, and place orders as needed. 

WHAT YOU NEED

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Associate’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 4 years of related maintenance experience; the equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.  Must be able to prepare reports, worksheets, charts, schedules, procedures, and other data.
  • Ability to present information to a group of co-workers, supervisors, managers or higher-level executives.
  • Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) is preferred. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization as well as strong ability to work in a team environment, are required to be successful in this position.
