JOB SUMMARY:


Management of production scheduling for Ohio plants. Management of the Scheduling

department.


PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Monitoring and balancing the production schedule for Middlefield plant
  • Identifying and resolving production problems.
  • Review, resolve, and management of daily scheduling process and issues.
  • Identify root causes that contribute to failures, claims, and inability to achieve goals within scheduling and deliveries
  • Manage staff to assure all processes and procedures are being followed in order to meet value proposition.
  • Work directly with other departments and production that allows for success in New Product/ Display roll outs.
  • Responsible for identifying, qualifying and supervising 3rd Party Logistics solutions for Masco Cabinet Group.
  • Assist in negotiations with carriers by identifying leverage opportunities and minimizing risk potential.
  • Establish and run weekly and monthly KPI’s for logistics and 3rd party vendor performance.
  • Participate in Kaizen events focused on Supply Chain cost reduction or service enhancement.
  • Visit customers, carriers, Masco Cabinet Group locations, and external cross docks as necessary in order to assure expectations are being met by outside vendors.
  • Completes other projects and responsibilities as requested by the Senior Logistics manager and Transportation manager.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:


    Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor degree in business or related field.

  • 3+ years of transportation, logistics, and supply chain experience with demonstrated increased responsibility.

  • Ability to complete projects in timely manner.

  • An understanding of the company manufacturing, operation processes, delivery networks, and the value stream proposition.

  • Ability to relate to individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Intermediate-advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite with a strong emphasis on Excel and data analysis.

  • Ability to travel 20% of the time.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work cross functionally with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated proactive analytical and problem solving skills.

    Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing industry such as office furniture or cabinet manufacturing.
  • Experience working with an industry that has an international supply chain.
  • Experience with a 3PL (Third Party Logistic or Supply Chain Consulting firm).
