Masco Cabinetry has an immediate opening for a Logistics Customs Compliance Coordinator (Import & Export) position at our corporate headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI!

This position is responsible for auditing, developing and maintaining all activities associated with International Customs Compliance for both import and export shipments, DOT compliance and other government regulations on behalf of Masco Cabinetry.


  • Lead and conduct daily audits of 3rd Party Broker entries to ensure determine export/import compliance and implement improvement projects where needed.
  • Liaison with supplier, plants and brokers to immediately resolve issues and questions related to customs.
  • Integrate and provide support to supply chain to ensure least cost duty minimizing alternatives to global sourcing decisions.
  • Develop procedures, training modules and assessment programs to identify compliance gaps, develop solutions and coordinate improvement implementation.
  • Maintain current knowledge of customs regulatory rulings and assure that Masco Cabinetry maintains there compliance, to include AD/CVD cases and rulings
  • Reporting and analyzing potential risks based on CBP cases and rulings
  • Develop, manage, and audit internal control programs, manual, and procedures for import and export compliance as per region and country specific.
  • Work with Supply Chain, Outside Counsel, to timely respond to CBP request CF28/29
  • Daily audit and approval of PPQ 505/Lacey Act declarations
  • Invoice processing of PMS (Periodic Monthly Statements) to ensure timely payments to CBP
  • Daily International freight audit and payment
  • Monthly International financial accrual
  • Research and provide technical assistance in interpretation of laws/regulations, product description, harmonized tariff codes, country of origin and for the resolution of all import/export compliance issues for the region/country. 
  • Lead search initiatives for duty reduction opportunities on Misclassification of Parts and Customs Rulings.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company guidelines through data management, training, analysis and reporting.
  • Work with contracted third parties in the completion of HOS management, DQ Files, MVR review process, DOT D & A Testing Program, and CSA Reporting.
  • Advise business managers and safety department of upcoming expirations as required so that ample time is available to each driver and managers to remain compliant.
  • Review driver qualification prior to hiring for all locations
  • Administrate DOT and random alcohol and drug and alcohol testing program.
  • Investigate all vehicle related accidents and safety related issues; recommend disciplinary course of action if necessary.
  • Routinely meet with drivers and managers to discuss safety-related matters.
  • Support Masco Cabinetry manufacturing sites to assure DOT compliance including onsite visits, audits, training and coaching.
  • Monitor and record all DOT recordable Accidents required by DOT and OSHA regulations.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in International Trade, Supply Chain or Finance/Accounting, or Certified Customs Specialist or Broker
  • Expert knowledge in international trade regulations.
  • 2+ years of "hands-on" cross-border working experience, including strong connections with regulatory authorities in key region/specific countries.
  • Experience coordinating and participating in import/export audits.
  • Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of international trade regulations for region specific countries with a special focus on customs regulations, procedures and local practices, tariffs, duty preferences/programs, E/I compliance controls, free trade agreements, etc.
  • Ability to demonstrate high level of quality work
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent organizational skills
  • High initiative and the ability to work independently
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
