Hiring Requirement:

The student must be able to provide a current transcript (unofficial) indicating he/she is an enrolled student at the college/university they are currently attending.  The student must be considered an enrolled student during their entire internship at Masco.


January 2019 – April 2019 (federal)

Possible opportunity for back to back with May 2019 – August 2019 (see State intern job posting)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Research and document U.S. Federal Tax Laws using CCH/RIA
  • Perform detailed account analysis to determine the appropriate tax treatment
  • Effectively and professionally communicate both orally and in writing with accountants at various Business Units to gather required financial information
  • Calculate various book/tax accounting differences required by U.S. Federal tax law
  • Analyze and adjust various accounts for proper presentation in the U.S. Federal Tax Return
  • Prepare electronic work papers (using Adobe Acrobat (pdf)) to document and support all calculations performed
  • Utilize information technology tools (Excel, etc.) to work efficiently and meet all deadlines

    Skill Requirements:

  • Must have completed introductory coursework in accounting
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
  • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Overall GPA of 2.8 or higher
  • Major GPA of 3.0 or higher
