Job Description

The Injection Molding Operator is responsible for following the training parameters to become competent in the area of operation of injection molding machines.

The Injection Molding Operator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, learning the process to:
  • Load plastic tubes onto molding machine and activate the machine
  • Unload tubes from core pins at the end of the molding cycle
  • Maintain cycle times
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with quality specifications
  • Pack finished parts for shipment
  • Keep equipment and work area clean
  • Follow ISO procedures

To qualify for the Injection Molding Operator position, the candidate is required to have:
  • Demonstrated aptitude for the position
  • Demonstrated basic math skills
  • Prior manufacturing experience is preferred

The Injection Molding Operator is required to complete training exercises in, or demonstrate a working knowledge of:
  • On-the-job training in the Molding Department
  • Understanding of the Incentive system
  • Must maintain fully satisfactory production performance levels
  • ISO procedures, Work Instructions and Quality Policy
