Job Description

The Injection Molding Lead is responsible for direction of 12-15 Direct Labor (IMM Molding Operators) and 2 Indirect (Mold Setter and Utility) personnel. The successful candidate should have 3 years of hands-on Injection Molding Supervision experience. Candidate must have the ability to promote a safe work environment, adhere to all customer quality expectations, follow scheduling requirements, and promote good housekeeping and 5-S principles.

Responsibilities:
  • Schedule IMM Operators to machines to complete production requirements
  • Coordinate and assist with mold changes to fulfill schedule requirements
  • Assign specific and daily tasks to utility person
  • Coordinate tooling and equipment availability, repair and maintenance
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintain a safe work environment within injection molding department
  • Respond to problems by performing corrective technical, process, or mechanical solutions
  • Maintain positive employee relations
  • Support adherence to Company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices
  • Manage and assist in troubleshooting all shift maintenance matters, including preventive and minor maintenance on all injection molding equipment
  • Communicate and record pertinent and required information using email and established documentation

Physical Demands:
  • May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling
  • May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Requirements:
  • Must be proficient in MS Office
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must possess strong supervision leadership and communication skills
  • High School graduate or GED
  • Technical school or degree in a related field is a plus
  • Continuous Improvement experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in an ISO 9001:2008 certified company.
