Position Summary                    

We are currently seeking candidates for our Director, Human Resources position at our headquarters location, Santa Ana, California.  Reporting to Brasstech’s General Manager, this position will provide Human Resource leadership in the management of the organization’s company-wide employee relations, talent management, compensation and benefits, employment, safety and health, worker’s compensation, payroll and other human resource policies and practices. 

This person will be responsible for:

  • Establishes strategic human resources plans linked to business performance and ensures appropriate metrics and reporting to the executive team.
  • Reviews, revises and/or develops policies, programs, processes and procedures to comply with business and legal changes.
  • Continually review of all compensation, annual performance development, and market research.
  • Directs all human resources policies, procedures, activities, and projects.
  • Leads the development of effective employee relations and open communications regarding human resources issues with all levels of employees.
  • Leads initiatives for succession planning, leadership development, and performance management to support organizational development.
  • Responsible for compliance with all Federal and State personnel regulations.
  • Directs and manages Worker’s Compensation administration.
  • Actively involved in safety related activities.
  • Directs and manages the payroll process through Masco’s HRIS systems. 
  • Manages and develops Human Resources professionals within the department.
  • Leads the company’s recruitment process and new hire orientation process.
  • Supervises the HR team in the daily administration of departmental requirements.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field plus 10 years’ experience in Human Resources.
  • Master’s degree a plus and/or SHRM certification.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR functions administration and strategy.
  • Knowledge in safety with strong worker’s compensation administration (IEA Certification – Claims Practitioner in WC preferred)
  • Current knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing across all levels both internally and externally.
  • Must be proficient with all Microsoft programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must have professional demeanor, strong work ethic and be a self-starter.
