The Human Resources Intern will assist the Human Resources Department with a wide range of projects related to HR compliance, recruiting, onboarding/orientation, employee engagement, and volunteer intern programs. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. The intern will learn how to take skills he or she may have acquired in school related to his or her particular areas of interest, and apply them in a professional setting. He or she will gain a better understanding of the role that Human Resources can play in a manufacturing setting.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with various projects
  • Provide assistance with recruiting that may include posting job openings and scheduling interviews.
  • Assist in curriculum design.
  • Assist in employee onboarding and orientation.
  • Complete HR Rounds with the Generalists.
  • Analyze HR data.
  • Perform administrative duties as necessary.

    Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
  • Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic environment
  • Detail oriented
  • Project management and problem solving skills


  • Current or recent enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate degree program.
